Alex Wilding BSc, MSc, MBPsS
Founder / Facilitator
Alex is a BACP Integrative Child Arts Counsellor with an MSc in Psychology and is a published academic.
With over a decade of experience working with young people, Alex has consistently observed how, particularly teenagers, often feel lost in a world that appears daunting and overwhelming.

His vision for Scrapsi is to facilitate sessions that empower these young people.
Alex believes that realising dreams is possible, the hard part is working out what those dreams are.
His approach is trauma-informed and deeply inclusive, especially to those who are neurodiverse, and from minority backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ and ethnic minorities.
FAQ's
What the heck is 'Scrap-book style'?

Great question! This is the uniqueness of our offering. As our trained facilitator takes your child through their session, they will go over each area of Maslows hierarchy (see below). And for each section, your child will choose images which represent their needs.

E.g. if they feel they need to play lots of football to feel good about themselves, they'll find an image which represents that e.g. an image of a football, or their favourite player.
By the end of the session, they'll have a 'Scrapsi'; a visual representation of all of their needs, which they can use as they wish e.g. save it somewhere, share it with parents/friends, or even put it away and see how they respond to it in our next session.
